Vishnu tells the story of Tarakasur who had meditated for years to get Mahadev's grace and obtained a boon from Mahadev. Vishnu tells Lakshmi that Mahadev has to marry Sati in order to end Tarakasur. Sati decides to stop the Nanda Vrat.
